Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued May 5 at 1:04PM CDT until May 5 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 186 IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 18 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ATASCOSA BEXAR CALDWELL COMAL DEWITT DIMMIT FAYETTE FRIO GONZALES GUADALUPE KARNES KINNEY LAVACA MAVERICK MEDINA UVALDE WILSON ZAVALA THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BRACKETTVILLE, CARRIZO SPRINGS, CRYSTAL CITY, CUERO, EAGLE PASS, FLORESVILLE, GONZALES, HALLETTSVILLE, HONDO, KARNES CITY, LA GRANGE, LOCKHART, NEW BRAUNFELS, PEARSALL, PLEASANTON, SAN ANTONIO, SEGUIN, AND UVALDE.

Flood Advisory issued May 5 at 1:20PM CDT until May 5 at 4:30PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of central and southern Zavala County. * WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 119 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly across portions of central and southern Zavala County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Crystal City, La Pryor, Batesville, Las Colonias, Chula Vista-River Spur, Loma Vista and Brundage. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
