Visibility of one mile or less at times may occur through sunrise, especially from Melbourne southward. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution if encountering fog this morning. Slow down, increase following distance, and use low-beam headlights when driving through patchy, locally dense fog. Plan ahead for extra travel time to destinations. Visibility is forecast to improve by mid morning as fog dissipates.
